Three-stage composter is like having three separate bins in one space-saving unit. Here's how it works:
Stage 1: Collect fresh organic matter in the large top chamber.
Stage 2: Push waste through to middle chamber to undergo main breakdown process.
Stage 3: Turn the handle to drop composted material into the lower maturing chamber.
You can continuously add fresh scraps and yard waste to the top. You'll end up with compost in three stages of decomposition: fresh in the top, "cooking" in the middle, and mature in the bottom. You'll always have a place for fresh scraps, and you'll have a continuous supply of finished compost for garden beds and containers.
- Gravity turns and aerates the materials as they move between chambers
- Easy-to-adjust vents for optimal lateral air flow
- Ideal environment for healthy microbial action and fast decomposition
- Hinged lid with latching handle keeps animals out
- Sealed collection chamber keeps fresh scraps out of reach of rodents
- Large doors on two sides for removing finished compost
- 50% recycled polypropylene copolymer
- 31" square x 43" H
- Weighs 51 lbs.
- Holds 22 cubic feet
